‘Web Spirit/Lover’ and ‘Am I the Siren You Have Been Waiting For?’ were recorded in 2014 to portastudio at none gallery, Dunedin, by W. H. Meung. These tracks employ redundant, recycled electronic equipment, discarded, revived and repurposed to make loops, drones and textured noise. Piano, circuit-bent children's toys, homemade oscillators and tape loops are spread across a stereo field, with additional arrangement and mastering completed by Meung during a brief period of homelessness in 2015.This release is the first in an ongoing series of 'Sundrian Editions' – 10" lathe-cut split-records on which geographically separate artists are paired. This release, and the series is part of, represent aspects of a wider dialogue between listener, genre, technique, community and self.
